Our School

Mission

St. Adalbert School is a ministry committed to preparing students for high school and beyond in the Catholic tradition by being active in learning, engaged in community, and grounded in faith.”

Vision

St. Adalbert School provides the highest possible educational and extracurricular programs grounded in the Catholic tradition. We educate the whole child and offer opportunities for students to grow with their families and their faith. We strive for every student to be leaders, life-long learners and beacons of light in their communities and in the world.

Core Values

Justice

Students/teachers/families are involved in service activities. We actively support the needs of our school families.

Students are informed of world and community events in an unbiased manner, using school classroom discussions, while .encouraging students to have a voice in how they can impact their own community and world.

There are visible signs of social justice in the classrooms and school.

We collaboratively exercise justice through appropriate decisions and responses to each other.

We accept responsibility for our learning and actions.

Community

We practice honest communication to all members of community. We establish trust among staff, students, and parents.

We speak to one another in a positive way and with good intentions.

We greet students as they enter the school and classrooms.

All visitors are welcomed to the school with a smile.

Manners are evident when speaking to one another.

Our teachers and staff are supportive of our students and families..

Faith

We know and believe in the mission of our school and make decisions toward achieving that  mission.

We pray in classrooms – keeping others in our prayers regularly. Prayer corners are visible and used regularly.

We attend mass and prayer services weekly.

We have religious instruction to boost our knowledge of the catechism and church history.

Our values and norms reflect the teachings of Jesus.

We engage our families and parish community to be a part of the faith-school experience.

Our teachers and staff practice our faith in order to strengthen our student’s faith growth and experience.

Dedication

Our students and Mission are at the core of every decision and solution we make.

We use data to address student learning goals.

Students conference with teachers to identify their strengths and opportunities for growth.

We have a “Don’t be afraid to fail and try again” culture. We take risks and use best instructional strategies and assessment tools.

We use proven instructional and assessment strategies with urgency to show growth in achievement.

We believe in the potential for all of our students to become leaders in their community and world

Service

We support the needs of our community through food drives, clothing drives, and charitable giving.

We provide opportunities to our students to be good stewards of Christ in their community.

Students serve one another in school activities to model Christian values to each other.

Teachers offer time to participate in afterschool co-curricular or enrichment activities.

Joy

Teachers and students are given praise and support for the work they do.

We provide Interactive learning experiences that keep students engaged and enjoying learning.

We smile, laugh, and love together as a school community.

We encourage our families to interact with our school community.
